The Need to Go

"The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Therefore, beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest field." Matthew 9:37-38

i believe the needs is everywhere- places where people are hurt, betrayed, abandoned, persecuted, fearful etc...

but the evident fact abt today's church is that many chose to be stucked in our own comfort zone, being comforted of where they are and who they hang out with- failing to realise our identity as salt and light of this earth.

In the New Testaments, Jesus said that we are the salt and light of this world. What does he means by that?

Usually, we may just say that salt is good as preservatives to bring goodness or taste to the food. I believe whenever we have ulcers, our friends may suggest us to apply salt onto our ulcers and the only of following such suggestion is pain.
And it is also because of this suggestion, it caused me to re-think abt why Christ called us to be the salt of this world- that is every of our words and actions should be able "hurt" people.
This kind of "hurt" is not the physical pain, but rather in such a way that it will cause people to realise the true meaning of life and also letting them to realise the flaws of their belief system.

It is a sad thing that we are seeing people dying everyday, every hour, minutes and seconds.
Yet, we are just not being able to do much. Sometimes, even we could do sth but we chose to allow our fears to control us, preventing us from going forth to be that blessing.

Are we going to be satisfied in walking our Christian life by sight and not by faith?

As you read this blog, i pray that we will rise up in faith to be obedient, such that no matter where God wants us to go, we will go. i also pray that we will be ones that unveil God's glory to the nations.

"For we walk, and not by sight" 2 corinthians 5:7
